Gift for 3mo DS?

His 20mo sister will get a fabulous play kitchen (mummy very excited) but she didn't get much last year as she wasn't all that bothered by Chrimbo and we were being very slack parents knowing she'd be far more interested in boxes anyway

I don't want to 'waste money' on the ridiclousness of being 'fair' and spending oodles on something just to match DD's gift.

Great gift ideas for 3-6 month old DS?

We had this last year with our 3 month old niece, we brought a bunch of black & white toys which she loved. They weren't completely black & white but all had elements, apparently young babies love black & white.
We also brought her some baby bunting with her name on it which her parents loved. It was made to our design & loved it-can give you the link of who made it if you'd like?

I would think of things DS would love at 6 months plus. My DS's birthday is quite close to Christmas too, so I felt he grew out of his baby toys/rattles a few months before Christmas, but no birthday in the meantime (iyswim) to get those early developmental toys - like stacking cups, first 'jigsaws', shape sorters etc.

Yes, he'll have to wait until September for his birthday so getting things for 6 months ish is a good idea.

The bunting idea sounds sweet, yes please if you have the link! Hmm, that's given me some ideas about a nice picture for his room or something. Although not particularly exciting for DS...!

No problem, I'm trying to do this on a phone to sorry if it hasn't worked!

This is their website www.kittyskitschenette.co.uk/
If you look on Facebook as well there are some examples of the baby bunting they make.

www.facebook.com/thekitschenette
they can do totally custom orders if you don't see anything you quite love already.

A jumperoo (2nd hand from eBay) was what we gave our dd last year . She loved it for months!

Editededition · 24/09/2013 08:22

Seconding the jumperoo sugestion.
Bumbo's are also great.

Or something like this swing -if you don't have one. (good re-sale value!)

BuntyCollocks · 24/09/2013 18:51

Third the jumperoo.

Ds will be 6 months we have bought a jumperoo and a ball pit. Also going to buy some cutlery and bowls for when we start weaning and some clothes.

We got Ds a stacking train toy a bit like this at around 9 months, and it gave him hours of fun (but he was a late crawler, so wasn't off exploring).

Also maybe a sit to stand activity stand like this

Honestly? Who's going to be keeping tabs as to the fairness

  • he won't notice! Maybe get some nice clothes or something.
