Cheap presents for children 3-10?

AllTwerkNoPlay · 23/09/2013 22:16

I have £8 to spend max on DD (who's 4, and this doesn't include a stockong) but she will get a ton of presents from other people. Also have about £4 to spend on fun activites for her ifyswim- but this could even out with the presents or whatever. I know it's not much!

And I am buying small presents for 3, 4, 6, 9, 9 and 10yo. I will be spending most mone on the 3, 6 and 10yo (they are my siblings) but still need to get them gifts.

Any ideas? I am good at homemade crafty stuff and am bringing round cupcakes for my 10yo DSis, but am stuck?

Should add: she loves anything crafty, 'writing', LOVES animals so much, likes anything practical and also construction type things, as well as glittery stuff, and goo.

And also loves outdoor toys, snow, magic trick stuff, anything funny or creative, and puzzles.

I like home bargains and clock in every couple of days to check what's new. Link is for toys, but click on DVDs too as they have some at £2.99 like Thumbelina (which I have bought for my 5YO).

The squinkies value bundle pack £7.50 at tesco is great. 75% off, should be over £30. 4 separate packages, carriage alone is £12.99 on amazon. Or if she loves animals then the zhu zhu puppy or hamster set is also £7.50 at tesco for lots of stuff instead of £30. My four yeAr old dd will love these. Look on bargain thread for more ideas.

Have you seen the TopCashback offer with Amazon on the christmas bargain thread? Basically TopCashback are giving 100% cashback of up to £5 on books through Amazon. So if you click through to Amazon through the TopCashback link then you can buy up to £5 worth of books and get your month back in a couple of months. It might stretch your budget a bit.

There are some fantastic cheap deals on to help you stretch your money, too. Keep an eye on the chritmas bergains thread, they come up quite often. I've bought several good books for christmas for under £2 each.

Home Bargains - Multipacks of selection boxes split amongst various kids works out cheaper too.

Book People - I bought a set of 12 A4 size Dr. Seuss books which I have split amongst various children. It would have worked out £7.99 per book rrp.

Smyths toys have quite a few toys in a 2 for £15 promo ATM and I've got a few bits put away for Christmas and parties. We got a 10 jigsaws in one box (bob and Thomas), peppa pig snakes and ladders, paint your own birdhouse and a few others which I can't remember.
