What are you getting/avoiding getting for your DCs?

Oh I totally agree that the cartoon/character spin off books are rubbish. I stopped buying those too pretty quick-smart. I'll have a think about extending that to clothing I think, as you're right, there is nicer stuff out there. I think I've just been blinkered by Hello Kitty for so long.....

I'm thinking of asking family to contribute to a climbing frame, if I can convince DH, instead of 'stuff' this year. If not, I'll have to think carefully what my girls would really like and play with. It's something I struggle with, since they will play with anything once. So hard to tell.
