Does anyone have a fairly unbreakable camera for their DC? What do you recommend?

We have a VTech Kidizoom, which rarely gets used. It is shaped for larger hands, but by the time a child has hands large enough to comfortably hold the camera and press the shutter button at the same time, they will be old enough to have an ordinary camera. Also, it doesn't have a flash - I would definitely recommend getting one that does.

My DC's (6 and 5) inherited some old digital camera's from other family members. DS first started using one when he was 3. Amazingly they have never broken them, and my dc's are brutal and break most things. They're quite good at using their wrist straps.

They love filming themselves being silly. I even came across their spy footage where they'd set them up to film people in the street outside.

....Although the draw back is that I have to regularly delete near identical photos of toys / chairs / sometimes bottoms Hmm before I upload them to my laptop.

We have the Buzz Lightyear vtech kidizoom. DS1 had it as a present when he was about 2, and it still gets used loads by him (now 6) and his younger brother (3.5). It seems pretty indestructible too. It takes rubbish photos, but they really don't seem to care! This model comes with lots of toy story pictures that you add to your photos, which they love.

We went for a cheap digital as dd was and didn't think she would want to use a kiddizoom for very long.

And it was about half the price.
