Salt dough decorations

When is the best time
To start making these?

I'm interested too plus how you make them!? I've heard everyone on here talking about them but im clueless!

I've never done them before but plan to this year... I'd just assumed it would be a December activity but haven't really looked into them yet, just seen them on pinterest

I'm worried if they made too early then they may crack? I think it's plain flour and salt and water to make the dough

Last year I bought sets of acrylic paint in christmassy colours from hobby craft. They were silv/gold/green/red/white/black strips of little pots.

They were great and each time we used them, we could chuck the empty strip out with minimal clearing up afterwards.

We started early december. Was fun!
