Am planning to throw a Christmas party at home for some work colleagues.

Although it will be at a weekend we are shift workers and people will need plenty of notice to try and get their shifts to accommodate it.

With this in mind do you think people will find it weird if I send out invites in October?

No I wouldn't think that was weird especially as weekends running up to Christmas get really full what with shopping, visiting family further afield, going to see Santa plus any other family commitments that may be on.
My drama group used to have a party before Christmas but could never get organised in time so do it the week between Christmas and new year now instead lol.

Thanks 2, I wouldn't find it weird but then I like plenty of notice for things (like planning Christmas in AugustWink) just wanted to check I wasn't being completely mad Smile

Not mad at all. As 2andDone says late Nov, Dec weekends can just vanish.
