Furreal monkey?

Ds has asked for this for christmas. He may change his mind but generally doesn't. Once he's decided that's normally it.

The bloody thing is £60, will it be absolutely crap? Amazon.com have some reviews saying it is ok. We had an emotion pet (cherry cat) last year and it was horrific and smelt like dead cat. In fact I still think it was a dead cat. Are furreal any better?!

Ds has a furby which he does play with a fair bit a year on so I'm hoping maybe this won't be the total waste of money I fear it will be. It's cuddles furreal monkey. Probably wont get it yet but just wondered!

We have had furreal dogs ,horses and parrots . None of them were particularly well used but the pony did sell for a good price on ebay a few years later . We still have the two parrots although neither are switched on ,one of them is used to store headphones on .

I feared as much!
Ds mostly plays with furby because he has an iPad app to feed him and then make him be sick (lovely).
I suspect furreal monkey may be short lived in its appeal.

I will try and discourage him from it. He probably would love it but then he loves all his stuffed animals and they did not cost £60.

Did they do what they were supposed to do btw? Or were they basically extortionate soft toys?

The monkey is quite cute & has quite a few actions. My DSD had it for christmas probably 5 years ago now and she won't let us pass it on even though she's 14 now

noooooooooooooo - don't do it - it is soooooooooooooooooo bloomin noisy! And when the kids have made it giggle for the 50th time in a row you want to throw it out the window!!

It's come down in prices bit...I'm really tempted.
Itll be crap wont it?! Also if I buy it now and it doesn't work I won't be able to change it. Hmmm.
