Who else has a night of playmobil construction ahead of them?

I have the School to build - eek! Box says takes 90mins! Hmmmmm

I remember on very long night when we were up till 2am putting a castle and a pirate ship together. The up at 5 with the little one. It was a nightmare. But playmobile is so worth the effort.

Have already spent 4 hours putting pirate ship and island together!

After last year- 3 hours building doctor who Lego on Christmas morning, DH and I have already built this years presents and had them hidden away! Lazy evening in front of the tv with the Christmas food stash for us! Good Luck everyone!

Thursday - it's the school house, it kindly says on the box how long it'll take, just have to wait for the DDs to go to bed and then the building can commence!

Only slight hitch is I've started on the G &T already!

Everything else is done bar putting batteries in the furby's

We've just got a portable ballet barre to construct.

The ILs have bought DS a load of Playmobil, and wrapped it all unmade, we will be putting it together tomorrow morning... ILs are 150 miles away so they can't even be drafted in to help

I have 2 sets to do, a jungle house and a prehistoric animal set.

Going to have to be wrapped and done tomorrow, as I'm far too poorly to attempt tonight.

Been laid up with tonsillitis for 3 days and have done nothing that I intended too

MIL has got Ds the pyramid. it's about the only thing he didn't have already
But xmas day wouldn't be xmas day without constructing playmobil!

Oh, been there, done that, with the huge house! I feel your pain!

I just asked my dd (7) about this and she says "why are the parents having all the fun to themselves? Setting it up is the best bit!"

Oh God! That's brought back memories of assembling the bastard Playmobile doll house many years ago! Three fecking hours it took and then bits fell off it with monotonous regularity. I should have superglued the bugger!

We never made the playmobil before - is that what you're meant to do?

We've never made it either DS really enjoys doing it with some help!

Was just sitting on sofa, all smug that I had done it all, quite a way down the champagne bottle, when I saw this thread and realised in a blinding flash of panic I have still dds house thing to build.

Dh is working. He had no sympathy and instead bemoaned the drinking of champagne and wondered if there would be any left for him or would it be going the same way as the 50 ferraro Roche that seem to have been eaten and he only had a couple:)

Ah crap. We have wrapped ds pirate island. He Also has the pirate ship. Not liking the sound of 4hrs making them!

Yeah. Always made up the playmobil on Xmas day with the kids.

Playmobil is supposed to be built on Christmas Morning, with the dcs.

Anyway, count yourselves lucky. We have to construct a basketball hoop and stand. Outside. In the dark. And rain.
