So the turkey doesn't fit in the oven...

What to do!? The turkey doesn't fit, it's only a medium turkey and I presumed it would fit. Our bottom half of the oven is broken so just have the top half to use and it is too small!!

Joint it - take the legs off and roast separately?

I thought of doing that but the top of the turkey will still touch the top of the oven. I thought of cutting it in half but I have no idea how to joint a turkey, can I just chop randomly?

Try turning it over (breast side down) and lean on it, hard, until you hear a crack - this will break the breast bone, which should flatten it a bit

You could google for instructions on how to spatchcock it, but might be very difficult with a turkey (more usually done to a chicken!)

Only other thing is go in around the legs where they join the body to cut them off, then down either side of the breast bone to take the two breasts off...

Good luck!
