Well, I am nearly done. Yay ! Got most of it done, including the food shop, just a few bits to pick up later on, then I am finished!

Only then wrapping on Christmas Eve, but I'll have all day so is all good !

Just hope later on is a bit drier than yesterday, I was wet and freezing for most of it.

My DC reminded me today that its the only day of them year that I'm up before them.

MrsChristmas, you are very brave to leave the wrapping until Christmas eve. In total I have spent over six hours wrapping presents divided into various sessions. Hope yours goes smoothly.

DS is getting his first present today, we are off to pick up the turtles. He hasn't got a clue yet. Jingle (the elf) is waiting in the car at the moment, he is coming with us on the long journey

Visiting Santa today. Sainsburys delivery tonight. Collect beef from butcher tomorrow after an hour or so in work and then done.

I can't believe it's Christmas eve eve already!!!

I am sort of almost finished. Had a marathon wrapping session with Baileys DH yesterday, but still plenty to do. Food shop arriving in an hour or so (just nice treaty food really, we aren't hosting). I need a trip into town if I can face it, a few last minute bits.

Spent an hour playing carols on the piano this morning! :o

Oh, one thing we never got round to doing is building the playmobil - we had planned to set it out so it's ready to play on Xmas dawn morning - not sure if we will be able to now, as we are out tomorrow and won't get back til latish.

We are back with the turtles

DS was really excited when he saw Jingle in the car. He didn't have a clue. When we stopped at that shop after over an hour's drive (it's a very reputable shop, was worth going there) he got a little excited, because he knew he'd see their display alligator and giant catfish. Only when we were in and looking at the turtles he sussed that we were actually getting him some. Bless him, he was so happy.
They are now exploring their new tank which may I say looks fab. There will be pictures on my elf blog tonight. Names not sure yet as we can't sex them, so for now they are 'The Yoshi gang' Once we see willies or not we will properly name them, Bowser and Shelly are contenders.

I'm nearly ready but having a really shit say today! 4 unhelpful dc, and my 18 yr brother, doing fuck all to help. I blew my top, had a screaming rant, they didn't listen. So bloody pissed off. Even threatened to cancel Christmas and take the decs down! They still don't help .
Oh well, more presents to wrap later and more cleaning and tidying to do now.

ISaw how lovely :) I love tortoises and turtles. I spent a day at a tortoise sanctuary in France a few years back, it was brilliant! What a lucky DS.

fuzzpig My dc do! They don't realise how hard it is for me with no family around to help and being a lone parent. It's just all getting on top of me.
We used to have 2 Yellow bellied slider turtles. They are lovely but got huge and poo so much that even with a huge external filter, they would stink! Had to re-home them in the end.

Popped into morrisons today and have never seen anything like it!
Queueing down the aisles and carpark was like armageddon. No more supermarkets for me.
