Well I'm not completely finished. Have to get the fresh veg tomorrow. But I finished wrapping all the presents and have nothing else to buy. I feel very, very chilled now Xmas Grin

The only things I have to do are nice things like put up the decorations, make ceramic doves and go out for lunch.

I have bought enough food for the entire 2 weeks and I don't have to shop or leave the house at all.

FunnysFuckingFreezing · 21/12/2012 23:56

all done too, only the fresh stuff to buy on Sunday. Ready Christmas meal in the freezer too. i.e. ready to roast turkey, potatoes, stuffing and even gravy! I will spend Christmas day playing games with the boys. Joy Xmas Grin

ProtegeMoi · 22/12/2012 00:12

I'm finished, have been for over a week actually. Got shopping being delivered on Sunday and can put my feet up and relax now.

inchoccyheaven · 22/12/2012 00:31

Me too just to buy veg tomorrow then done, which is a miracle Considering I have had 2 weeks of ill children home.

Would like to clean the bedrooms before monday and then will be really happy.

MulledwineGless · 22/12/2012 04:17

Am on nights all weekend and finished wrapping this afternoon. I have one more present for DH which I am waiting for.

Food however is a different matter.....

twinklesparkles · 22/12/2012 17:24

I'm done, Tesco's order coming in the morning, presents wrapped, cards sent, presents delivered, visited grandparents, dog bathed and house cleaned Grin.

trumpalot · 22/12/2012 18:05

i posted all my cards early. I visited all my family that live a long way a way and delivered pressies to their dc s and my dm. Ive wrapped 90 % of dd s pressies. Ive got a few little treats for myself to wrap(book, nail polish, lip balms) and ive hand posted all my local cards. Ive popped to see poorly friend and had my nails and hair done(this is unheard of ) friends and dh's pressies bought for and wrapped for him! I feel v v proud of myself this year. as have hardly spent a lot and because started early last month and had a good hard think about what to get for each person i am chuffed,

VerityClinch · 22/12/2012 18:05

I'm done. Groceries and turkey were delivered today, presents are all wrapped and labelled.

May need to pop out for baby wipes since we seem to be getting low, but I've got my feet up with wine and paprika Pringles while daddy does bathtime and this is pretty much how I intend to stay until 2nd Jan. Grin

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 22/12/2012 18:18

Thanks for reminding me Lauries... for forgetting to make ceramic doves!?!
Everybody else made theirs yet?
would you explain please Smile...

betterwhenthesunshines · 22/12/2012 18:35

Lauries it's the food for the rest of the time that defeats me. Christmas Day / Boxing Day etc is fine, it's the 27th, 28th 29th etc all the way until New Year that makes me feel tired - what's your menu list?

I have planned:
Spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce (done, in freezer)
Fishcakes (freezer, but will need fresh spinach & veg)
A soup and bits meal
Spanish chicken and chorizo rice
Kedgeree with smoked mackarel

Would like to do a slow roast pork belly or pork shoulder for New Year.

busymummy3 · 22/12/2012 21:42

What on earth are ceramic doves ????

mumof2girls99 · 22/12/2012 21:51

christmas day ~ xmas lunch follwed by very light meal in the evening
boxing day is norm cooked roast then buffet picky bits
27th will prob be buffet lunch then spag bowel or home made curry& rice
rest of the food il decide as we go :)

LauriesFairyonthetreeeatsCake · 22/12/2012 22:02

I'm making ceramic doves as everyone I'm having Christmas Day has agreed to make each other a wee present - so tomorrow I will be cutting out doves, putting people's names on them and firing them in the oven.

It really won't take long.

ThePathanKhansWitch · 22/12/2012 22:23

I wanna be Laurie,s pal, I want a ceramic dove.

frazzled74 · 22/12/2012 22:45

Laurie how do you make a ceramic dove? sounds lovely. And I am completely done ,so I have 2 days left to do nice crafty things!!Xmas Smile

LauriesFairyonthetreeeatsCake · 22/12/2012 23:43

I'm on my phone so I can't post a link but you can get either air drying clay or clay you fire in the oven from amazon or craft shops.

I've got the oven cook one to do this. All I do is roll it out, use a biscuit cutter to stamp it out, put a hole in it with a skewer/pen top, stamp someone's name or a Christmas word like 'Noel' into it, put on baking tray and cook it, let it cool, string ribbon through it to hang.

Easy peasy, they have them on not on the high street for about £5-£6, I can make half a dozen for that.

GreenyEyes · 22/12/2012 23:51

Nearly there. I've an M&S order to pick up tomorrow, which is most of the veg and garnishes, and a couple of present drops to do.

That's it, done!

whatkungfuthat · 23/12/2012 11:18

I'm done, now just a few bits of cleaning then its the 3 day onslaught of cooking and entertaining. I was hoping for a bit of a rest on Thursday but my DM has agreed to have an eye op then, despite it being the day after boxing day and not asking me anyone if they are available to take her to and from the hospital and stay the night, then get her shopping the next day

FeelingFestiveCheerMum · 23/12/2012 12:57

i'm done. braved asda this morning to get last few bits and pieces. have just baked birthday cake for dh for tomorrow, dd will be icing it so i can officially crack open the sherry!

woop woop

merry christmas everybody!

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 23/12/2012 21:26

Ceramic doves sound lovely Lauries.

busymummy3 · 23/12/2012 23:24

The Ceramic Doves sound fantastic I think My DD's would enjoy making them as well

SanityClause · 23/12/2012 23:27

All presents are bought and wrapped, and Ocado has delivered.

Unfortunately, I still have some work to do (in my home office) so will be a bit busy finishing off things tomorrow morning.

CanYouHearMe · 23/12/2012 23:42

I've still got to get the turkey and sausagemeat, bread sauce mix, crackers for the table (hopefully half price) and a few other bits. Wondering whether I dare wait for the reductions at 4pm!
