Er, last minute addition by 7 year old ds...

2 problems:

1. I don't think they actually exist
2. I have already spent a small fortune

Hi - this does exist, my other half loves robots made by wowwee and they have a 'roboreptile' that probably fits the bill.

A quick ebay search brings back 5 hits here if the link works.

Not the cheapest, but I suspect a bit more internet searching might find something cheaper that is a copy of the original wowwee robots.

Just realised the proper name is 'roboraptor' and there are lots more hits on ebay on that search, and there is a mini version of it.

But of course that doesn't answer whether you should do it - because you have already bought him plenty!
