How many Christmas Miles do you travel?

I cannot remember ever travelling on Christmas Day.

So zero miles for me.

I'll bet the roads are an absoulte joy, though, weather permitting.

I will be travelling on skis. One year the instructor said we did about 80 miles but I think that was somewhat wrong, not even 80km...

We alternate between 4 miles one year and 4000 miles the next, as we spend every other Christmas at my folks in America.

Zero. For the last 7 years.

Before that 250 miles or 450 miles alternate years without fail.

Skis?

Blimey.

Carrying presents?

Last year I drove 1000 miles in 3 days, this year I'm not driving anywhere!

Last year 6000 miles (there and back) plus England travel probably 6500 miles ... Staying at home this year and walking to the beach and falling out if taxi's

The M25 can still be busy even on Xmas Day unfortunately ...

Zero for the whole 2 weeks usually - I get food delivered and don't move from the fire unless to get more tea and cake

I couldn't believe how busy the motorway was on Boxing Day last year!

Boxing Day is always a bad journey due to football matches (the reason we are in a car) and the sales.

We occasionally drive down to my parents on Christmas Day (60 miles so not too bad) and normally have a clear run once we are out of London. This year we are going down on Sunday so no driving for a few days

Usually around 1200 miles. This year, 0 miles as we are not visiting my family

Probably around 500 miles, we do a big circle. The roads are often v quiet on Christmas Day, though we don't go on motorways between parents, it is cross country.

It's not the miles as much as the time, 10-12 hrs in the car in 4/5 days with three children under 8. Parents too old to travel so is the only way we get to see them. Planning to hibernate from 27th to New Year!

Normally around 900 in total but this year I have no idea.

East herts - Leicester - Glasgow - Milton Keynes - east herts.

Havent bothered checking how many miles it is as I will be horrified and probably hibernate instead. Should be an "interesting" trip with 3 dcs and dog and dodgy car!

Most years about 700 miles to see lots of relatives in the week after Christmas. Ths year, we're on relative-visiting strike. 0 miles. We generally find it really hard work and come home exhausted. So this year we'll decorate the living room instead. Fewer mince pies, more stripped floorboards. Not sure whether the relatives will mind or not but they could always visit us if they wanted to see us, we tend to do a lot of the travelling to see people.

This year 712 miles there and, unsurprisingly, the same back. Car - plane - car.

About 500 miles. Have done this for last 5 years - am hoping next year to be at home for christmas! Neighbour's family will be sleeping in our house so at least the tree gets well admired

160mile round trip for christmas (going 23rd coming back boxing day) and about 450 round trip for new year, or rather Christmas Mark 2 ( leaning 28th back 1st).
