I usually buy my stuffing loaf and sausages in bacon etc pre made and freeze but i leave it to last minute so that the use by date is post christmas, this year im worried as the shops seem rathe bare already. If i buy things that go out of date in a few days and freeze are they still ok at christmas when they have went past their use by date? and if so for how long? do i have a 24 hour window to cook and eat?

i did say it was a stupid question Blush

Yes they will be absolutely fine. Generally you can keep frozen food frozen for a few months. Once cooked eat and keep as you normally would, just don't refreeze!

If it is raw you can freeze it, if you take it out and cook it you can freeze it again, once for each state, once raw and once cooked.
