Homemade nameplates

Any ideas for easy to make but impressive nameplaces for the table on Christmas day? Something like this but a lot less flaff!

Nameplaces even! Damn you autocorrect!

I am just searching for these ideas myself, so far I've only thought of iced gingerbread men or these:

Thanks for the links doublemum like the look of the iced gingerbread men, but did ask for some with less flaff.....I could buy some gingerbread men and ice myself.....

OK, how about wrapping napkins round the cutlery with a sprig of holly or something green, and tying them up with a postal tag with people's names written on. Simple but quite effective and the napkins can tie in with any colour scheme?
