Christmas trifle

I always make a trifle for Christmas Day alternative dessert to the pud. My dad has actually asked specifically for it this year though! (If you knew my dad you'd realise this is a big breakthrough for me!!)

I have bought a lovely stemmed trifle dish this year as we are going to my DB and his family for Christmas Day.

I don't want to make anything with alcohol in it for various medical reasons within the family and the kids will be eating it too.

So am looking for inspiration - what's your favourite trifle recipe?

Yes all peanut butter related products welcome.

Sponge or sponge fingers
Soaked in sherry or orange juice in making non alcohol version.
Two tins of raspberries
Raspberry jelly
Leave overnight in the fridge to set
Custard on top of set layers homemade or ready made
I don't use cream but Dream topping- if you can get hold of it- for that authentic 70s feel!
Legendary even if I say so myself.
