Apart from the obvious .. any unique suggestions out there ?
DD loves horses & ponies & riding, swimming ... but doesn't have to be related

Have you tried Hawkins Bazaar?

Artbox has some funky stuff.

My dd is also getting

  • origami paper (she already has origami books - you could print out some online instructions or buy a little origami instruction book if your dd hasn't done it before)
  • little boxes of cereal from a selection pack
  • mitten-cap gloves (from Sainsburys)
  • patterned cupcake cases and some fancy cake sprinkles

Oddest item this year is a teeny tiny travel pack of floss (to go with the toothbrush she always gets in her stocking).

I like the idea of fancy cupcake decorations.

We have got DD (8) some pretty cake cases along with some edible glitter and a cake timer (accessorize) as part of her stocking. She also has some glow in the dark hama beads. Origami (from topshop but available from lots of places), little packets of strawberry scented wipes and some patterned tissues, some of the smaller shower gels from lush to go in the swimming bag, the encyclopedia of immaturity (klutz, it's the 2nd one actually, she got the first one last year and loved it), new tangle teezer, can't remember what else!

Oh, a shakeaway voucher never fails to raise a smile too!
