Dd is 10 1/2 and last year we believed was the lady year where all things Santa were concerned would happen

I have a dss who is 9 and hadn't believed since about 7 dd always struggled to under stand why dss had 2 lots of Christmas presents ( at his mums and with us )

This February dd ask us straight out if he was real gave us all get reasons why no he wasn't abd we believed it was time to confirm her reasons

9 months on and dd comes down stairs with a letter to Father Christmas to post and ask when we're going to visit him as she can't believe that we buy all the presents she recieves.

So advise what to do please we'd decided not to visit FC this year as we didn't see the point.
Do I go along with her or not over the whole believing thing?

I would go along with it and take the letter as a sign that she wants to enjoy the magic a little bit longer Xmas Grin I remember when having the 'santa talk' with my mum at about the same age, she told us that although parents did buy the presents, F.C was a symbol of the whole magic of Christmas so we could still believe in that - I wasn't ready to stop believing despite all evidence to the contrary so was quite happy with that explanation. In fact Dsis and I still play along that we believe now for DD Xmas Blush

Thank you for that I like the fact of Santa being the whole magic of it all Grin
Have spoken this evening again about going to see Santa and she's now decided she doesn't want to go in case anyone she knows sees her even though I suggested we go to another city to see him.

So need to have a think
