I'm thinking about doing a stocking this year for my mum and step dad what should I put in it?

Pants, candles, satsuma, something for the kitchen, an old cork, bit of coal, something nice for a bath, a book, something to make you giggle, a pen.

So far I have mini torches, socks, mini bath stuff for my mum, its bloke stuff I'm struggling with

I do small ones for the dinner table and put in chocolate coins, puzzles, small toiletries, a book, something that will entertain at the table between or after courses (like a small boxes with quiz questions etc - this year I have got my dad an origami set, for example).

They are always popular, and I enjoy finding things to put in them.

small bottle of port/other booze? Wallet, frame of DC, socks (boring but my DP always needs socks!), magazine of any interests, small book of local walks if they are outdoorsy or restaurant guide if they are into food?

Cuff links, tie, small shoe polish kit?

Does he have a hobby?

Im doing Christmas tins for the men I work with. They are getting a Christmas scratchcard, Christmas socks and a liquer miniature.

DP's mostly has things to eat and drink because he doesn't like "stuff", so chocolate, gold marmite, saucisson, olives. We need a new shower curtain, so I'm going to see if I can fit one in. If he was more into stuff, I would include shaving things, a pen, notebook, and some socks.

He's into fishing and DIY so will try and get a few fishing bits

I always include things that he would have to buy anyway, like shaving foam and razor blades. A bit of a cop out I know but at least you know they will be used. (I put new toothbrushes and toothpastes in the kids).
