Are there any decent ones out there suitable for a 6YO girl?

All the ones I've seen or tried have been tacky, difficult to clean and parts expensive to replenish like the wrappers for the chocolate coin maker. Could you go DIY and buy her chocolate buttons, flexible silicon moulds (ice cube trays can give good shapes) , cherrys, marshmallows, fruit and nuts.?

I could I suppose, I just think the sensible version might not feel as much as an exciting present IYSWIM.

Woud something like this help?. Along with a child size apron?

The coin makers take about 15 minutes to make each coin. Although the DCs did love it. But they got more satisfaction from making 'proper' chocolates in moulds. Depends how much parental help there is likely to be? Otherwise chocolate fountain??
