I have decided to buy DD1 what she actually wants for Christmas (a bike) rather than what I want to buy her (dolls' house). She is quite an agile little girl. She whizzes around on her mini micro scooter (as recommended by mumsnetters for 2nd birthday). She is about 94cm tall with inside leg of 30cm. From reviews it seems the puky bikes are very popular. I am now deciding which to buy. Do I go for the smallest bike ( no brake, no stand) for children with instep of 30cm or do I go for slightly bigger model (with brake and stand) but for child with instep of 35cm. Bloke on the phone said to go for the smallest as it's crucial that they feel confident and can put feet on the ground. I'm not sure whether she'd reach the ground ok on the bigger one or if it is pointless getting that one. Anyone know of any makes that do balance bike with brake?
