My DD has asked for some bubble wrap. A former colleague's son asked for a smelly old shoe. What's the strangest item your DC has asked Santa for?

dd1 has asked for a giant chocolate coin.

MikeLitorisHasChristmasLights · 06/12/2012 23:33

A lamp post and a duck. Both when dd was 3. She got neither.

My cousins son asked for a lemon zester and a garlic press when be was 5. he got both.

Pink juice. DD is 2 :) In a proper bottle with a lid.

She will probably have to get it to keep older DD believing!

givemeaclue · 07/12/2012 08:22

On the plus side, at least there requests are not too costly! (Lamp post excepted)

A 'monster that you can throw against the window' (from ds, 4)!
You can imagine my amazement when I found out these actually exist! (google 'creepeez' if interested..)

amck5700 · 07/12/2012 09:34

A can of Irn Bru by my then 5 year old

A lamp by my then 3 year old

and my nephew asked for a pair of white gloves - his twin had asked for a snooker table and he wanted to be the man who cleaned the balls and replaced them on the table :) - They were about 5ish

Cherry, Starbucks do giant chocolate coins if you're struggling to find one.

TheJiminyConjecture · 07/12/2012 14:46

I have a DD that wants tissues this year - she's almost 3

amck5700 · 07/12/2012 14:48

Aww - hope you are going to get her some fancy ones :)

StrawberriesTasteLikeLipsDo · 07/12/2012 14:55

Tesco and sainsburys do giant chocolate coins.

My god daughter asked for a wheel of brie aged 3...had to be a wheel and had to be brie! She got it and was thrilled!

MyMamaToldMe · 07/12/2012 14:59

My DD (4) has asked for a fishing rod! Very random to us!

TheJiminyConjecture · 07/12/2012 15:25

Oh yes, she'll be well prepared for any cold over the festive period!

Poundland came up trumps - she has Peppa Pig and Tatty Teddy boxes.

I also found a multipack of Mr Men tissues similar to amck5700's link, in Tesco. Great minds eh Xmas Grin

Loving the wheel of brie too

CajaDeLaMemoria · 07/12/2012 15:27

Jiminy - Kleenex do some amazing light up tissues - they are great! I'd love Tatty Teddy tissues, too.

Dd2 has asked for a lemonade stand like the one on the American express add and starwars lego (she has never seen starwars so not sure why she wants it).

legalalien · 07/12/2012 16:02
