Carribbean Hamper?

I'm considering making a hamper full of Carribbean goodies for people who will have just come back from their holiday there. It was a massive holiday for them and they have been talking about it for years, so I think they'd probably like something related?

I was going to add a Carribbean scrapbook with reprints of their photographs but they won't get back in time.

I've never actually been, so can anyone suggest items I could put in? I want it to look good, but I don't have a fortune to spend...

Local sainsburys & tesco usually have a foreign food section (asda & morrisons may also but have never looked!). Go there & get some stuff like jerk paste, tinned ackee, callaloo spicy sauces, pre packed ruce & peas. Dunns River do quite a large selection. Stuff like this

Where did they go in Caribbean? You could maybe find some rum or equivalent from where they went. Daiquiri mix? Or if they went to Barbados, some tescos sell Banks beer which is the beer of Barbados & a few other Caribbean beers.

What about a Caribbean cookbook. I'm sure amazon will have a few or Levi Roots books are good & often in places like the works. You could check in there for few ingredients.

If you go to tesco website & type in Caribbean in the food section, there's 18 pages of stuff (I'm on phone so might be fewer in computer). Granted some things are febreze Caribbean paradise but that might work!

Yankee also do a few Caribbean candles like Bahama breeze & you can get the small candles quite cheap.
