They used to be everywhere but I can only find one in m and s and very expensive. Has anyone seen one anywhere else?

I have seen them in M&S snd Sainsburys in years gone by. Good luck!

ledkr do you have an independent butcher near, should be easy enough to order one from them

I saw a frozen one in Asda, if you want fresh I'd suggest local butchers.

If it is boneless, it will be called a boneless rolled turkey breast, butchers do them. Ours does ones with stuffing in too! They look just the same shape as a rolled pork joint. I think some customers buy one in addition to their turkey, so that there is more breast meat to go round, without all the problems of fitting a larger turkey into their oven.

M&S and Tesco do frozen ones that I know of, but it probably depends on the branch.

Hi there, a few years ago we got a saddle of turkey from Tesco. Not sure if they still have them but they were great value and perfect if your looking for a boneless joint

Thanks everyone,I'm going to pop into the butchers later on. I have three hungry ds who come for Xmas so it's always more economical for me as they are carnivores ha ha

I think you will find them almost everywhere - although it may be a bit early yet. If I remember correctly, most supermarkets don't get their full range of turkeys in until 19th/20th December.

I hope they do still exist this year as I am planning to get one too!

noisytoys · 05/12/2012 10:22

I bought one from lidl for £5.99. A whole turkey in there is only £9.99 Grin

ledkr · 05/12/2012 10:39

Wow! Not the bird within a bird within a bird? A proper crown?

Our Butcher calls them turkey butterflies so maybe searching for that instead of crown might help.

noisytoys · 05/12/2012 12:28

No it's a proper crown. I didn't see any bird within a bird within a bird this year yet

PersonalClown · 05/12/2012 12:31

There's crowns on Ocado if your finances can stretch to that.
I've also seen them in Aldi too.
