Secret Santa idea you can put in your pocket

I'm on the look out for an iodea - for under a fiver - need to buy something for a 50ish year old man I don't know very well anmd it needs to fit in a pocket. Any thoughts? Nothing rude!

Pen set, hip flask, socks, book, cd/dvd, chocolates, gloves, mug, tie........... I could probably go on and on but are these any good ?
and just one question why does it have to fit in your pocket ?

Thank you - sonme great ideas here - like hip flask, scratch card and gel hand warmers in particular. Have to get it tioday as party is tomorrow so am panicking slightly.

Reliable - reason for being in pocket is just because it is the theme they have chosen...
