Thorntons epic fail at Christmas (as is traditional)

Decided to give thorntons online another go after multiple super aggravating mishaps trying to order from them at christmas 2 years ago; forgive and forget I thought.

I Ordered 2 choc advent calendars on Monday 26th dec and had to
Email thorntons on 1st dec to say advent calendar not received but surely they know advent calendars need to be received before 1st dec???
Thorn tons reply that calendar doesn't need to be received by the 1st and is still within expected delivery timeframe - apparently will be delivered anytime soon
Epic Fail
Am too embarrassed now to give these to intended recipients.

And breathe....

Did they guarantee to deliver them within 3 days?

ShatnersBassoon · 03/12/2012 19:03

Or within 3-5 days I suppose...

I'm still waiting for the Lego Friends advent calendar I ordered from Tesco Direct on the 8th November. It hasn't even been dispatched yet despite being in stock.

Rooobs · 03/12/2012 19:36

Hardly an epic fail. You ordered something last minute on the Internet. Did you pay extra for express delivery? Because it's not unusual for things to take 5 days or so to arrive.

Well if anyone here thinks its ok to get an advent calendar AFTER the start of advent please sign in below

But you ordered it on the 26th?! I doubt Thorntons have an Oh my God, it's an advent calendar must send it immediately klaxon. Orde earlier next time!

chaosisawayoflife · 03/12/2012 20:03

Unless they guaranteed delivery by the 1St then I'm afraid the epic fail is yours for not organising earlier.

Snog · 03/12/2012 20:25

Well then humbug to you all
