Racing car game for 3 yr old DD

We took our DD to meet Santa last night at the village Xmas fete. Very very cute, told Father Xmas she'd like a 'racing car game' from him, first we'd heard of it!! Assuming it was a random preschooler comment, nope.....been talking about it all morning I've had a quick look on amazon toys r us etc but nothing jumps out, seem to be lots of negative reviews.
Any ideas or recommendations? She's pretty good with 'fiddley' toys so thinking maybe something more advanced than just push along cars.

A couple of metres of guttering and a box of Matchbox cars? She would have a lot of fun with that and it beats the rubbishy, battery-munching racing track sets hands-down.

We have two WOW racing cars which get played with daily by my 3year old. They don't need batteries, and great for imaginative play.

My DS has had this for a few years , its good, we all like it
