It's 23 days to Christmas, I have done next to no shopping, we have no tree, panto tickets have not been booked. The house is a mess and I've got a sinus infection following on from a chest infection. I've been ill for 3 weeks and struggled into work every day but one. I feel so bleh and really need someone to help me get started otherwise there will be no Christmas around here!

You need a list! Always the best part of starting any shit task! Make a nice list and then cross it off when done.

I'd say start with the panto tickets in case they sell out, it's only 2nd Dec so too early to put up a tree so don't stress about that, and make a list of everyone you need to buy for.

It's really not that late, it just feels like it as everyone seems to have gone Christmas mad really early this year.

Concentrate on feeling better and then it won't seem half as hard to plough through the shopping in a couple of days. Everything seems worse when you're run down

Oh Gold - I'm with you on the illness-cum-lack-of-enthusiasm-for-christmas.

Yule is right. Start with a list and even if you only tick off one thing a day, it'll be 23 things done by Christmas. Delegate as much as you can. Block buy presents if you can (ie Superman outfits for all boys under 6!). You can order so much online.

I've also used the time whilst feeling really 'Bleugh" to write a few cards.

Get as many multivits down you as you can. I'm on Berocca ATM to see if I can kick start myself.

Who do you need to buy for? It would be good to get lots of it online if you aren't well enough to be traipsing round town, but if you are going to use amazon etc it had better be soon.

You're all right, I need to make lists. I'm in the Middle East so online is only an option for our family in Europe/States but yes, need to get that done too. I bought a disposable tray to cook the (unbought) turkey in yesterday. We attempted to buy a Christmas tree too but no luck. We've had a long weekend here and I feel like I've 'wasted' it being ill. Nuts I know!

I feel a little better today so will make an effort to get some jobs done.
