Hi, Had it all planned.
DS8 is not a great reader but bought an undead pets book and loved it.
Planned to buy the next 3 for xmas but just been on amazon and are not published until jan/ march. Any other suggestions?
Have bought new wimpey kid but need something else.

What about Asterix books or Tintin ? My Dd8 really enjoys both. Plus Horrible Histories, and a series which starts with the Hamster Massacre. some of those you might have to read with him but I think the pictures in Asterix and Tintin really help.

How about the Tom Gates books? Have a look inside. They're similar to wimpy kid in that they dont have a lot of words so they feel the accomplishment of reading a whole book but get through it pretty sharpish.

What about the 13t story treehouse? Or the secret seven/famous five.

Is he into Moshi Monsters? They do some 'pick your own path' books that are quite good. They are relatively short and simple to read but they could then go back and make different choices to change the ending. They have some on amazon for a few pounds
