Flavoured vodka

So, after reading about dishwasher vodka on here I've decided to have a go.
I have bought a 70cl bottle of vodka and some cola bottles and strawberry laces and am going to Dunelm tomorrow to get some Kilner jars/bottles.

What next? I can't remember and am unsure of quantities. I have 3 packs of each of the sweets - those 3 for a £1 size bags from the supermarket.

Help!

I think it's a quarter lb of sweets to a litre of spirits...

Will cola bottles and strawberry laces work - will they dissolve? Getting all nervous now and wondering if I should've bought boiled sweets rather than those.

I have a vague recollection that kola cubes are the only ones that won't work. Hang on, will find the link...
