My eldest dd lives abroad, she has been having a tough time and is in a clinic at the moment and will be over Christmas. Normally I would give her money for Christmas but want to send her something to cheer her up this year as I can't get to see her. I have a Bench sweater I know she'll like and I'm going to send a photo in a nice frame if I can find one in town, but am unsure what else to get. She doesn't have hobbies, doesn't read a lot, has an mp3 player, can't use a laptop etc there. I just want something that will make her smile and know she's loved.

How about a nice basket full of her favourite things? Snacks, drinks, toiletries, etc. She could pamper herself a little with some posh bath oils/ moisturisers etc.

A photo book? What the family here have been up to this year or just pictures of everyone.

Heavy to post, but if she likes it, then Marmite. Such a homely comfort food and hard to buy in many places overseas.

I could send a small Marmite - I like the thought of a hamper of things she likes and could put a small Marmite in there. Drinks are more difficult to send.

Yes, she likes Haribo, can pop those in a hamper too. :-)
