I do this.
A few years ago I found a big shoe-box type box in one of those cheapy 99p shops. It's blue and white and has snowmen on the front and glitter, all that stuff.
I use this as the hamper box every year.
In the hamper is, dc's stockings, new pj's, xmas eve dvd (last year was mickey mouse christmas surprise), milkshakes, popcorn, small toy each and key for santa to get in.
The elves drop the box into the boys bedroom when they are in the bath. They get out of the bath and find it on the floor surrounded by 'snow'. It;s magic snow straight from poundlandthe north-pole, you can tell because there's glitter in it.

I've bought my girls some glow in the dark bracelets too from Poundland. Not particularly Christmassy but they love them (and they are cheap Smile)

I got a Toy Story and Princess cardboard box from Poundland. I am putting in new pjs, bubble bath, toothbrush, expanding face cloth, new book and a chocolate santa. Nothing too exciting, but I know dd will be thrilled, 10 month ds will enjoy the box I'm sure.

I'm also going to do one for DH. I am putting in silly boxers, toothbrush, edible massage bar from lush, Radox, a tube of Refresher sweets and a bottle of posh beer.

I added a mini bottle of champagne last year for me and a chocolate milk for my little girl (3!)
