Check the prices on book people.
You may be able to get the mix you want for the same price.

bagpuss · 25/11/2012 11:51

Don't get me wrong, I'm not that bothered but dh was upset having waited all day. All of our stuff takes a day usually and we are happy with the service over all but dh has paid £50 for prime and expects (rightly or wrongly) to be given a next day service if he has been promised it. I really didn't mean to start a debate, I was just surprised that they were so generous given that most folk have had some kind of delay this week. Sorry. Blush.

HarlettOScara · 25/11/2012 12:11

Thank god this is the end of Amazon Black Friday...I had only bought a watch up until yesterday and then it all went the way of the pear and I have spent a small fortune Blush I've even bought things with the rationale that I'll put them away for DD for her first birthday...which isn't until next June! Sensible? Or utter madness? What's Amazon's returns policy like? I've never had to use it yet.

Indith · 25/11/2012 12:13

Well my lego bundle arrived yesterday, it is fab. The dcs really want it all but it is for the present drawer so tough luck Grin. I am sort of interested in the fuji cameras as they look childproof and they take the same sort of cards as our current camera but won't be able to justify the expense really (ours works but is crap). I do need to get the drill this evening though as ours broke and we have loads of stuff to hang so if I can get a decent one at a good price I will be very happy.

Indith · 25/11/2012 12:15

re lego bundles

book ont eh book people are around £4, brickmaster sets are £10 so in general if the bundle has 2 brickmaster sets and 2 books then it is a good deal, if it has 1 brickmaster and 3 books then it would be cheaper to go to the book people.

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 25/11/2012 12:20

I got the Lego Star Wars books and the Harry Potter ones, they look brilliant and if I don't wrap them soon I think DH might open them 'for a look' hmmm.... Hmm

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 25/11/2012 12:22

We also got the multi-media remote thingy as "we need it" (to quote DH) Hmm but tbh it is quite good!

whatkungfuthat · 25/11/2012 12:55

Harlett I saw it but I know I've been a customer before so I don't think they would let me use it, grrrrr. Nothing so far today, I am going to look at the hampers for my DM but I think some of the items are too spicy for her

Does anyone know how much the Playstation bundle was reduced to last time? not that I can afford it

Loupee · 25/11/2012 13:22

bagpuss if I had paid for prime I would have complained as well, and I think it's great they gave you the £20.
Don't get your coat, I hope I haven't upset you!

Loupee · 25/11/2012 13:24

Harlett I've done the same for DS first birthday in July!

Piemistress · 25/11/2012 13:29

DD is also one next summer and I have à wee stash too :)

HarlettOScara · 25/11/2012 13:29

That makes me feel a whole lot better, Loupee. I'll go with the 'we're just being sensible option' rather than 'we're mad as a bucket of frogs' :)

Just need someone to remind me what I've bought and put away come June!

HarlettOScara · 25/11/2012 13:31

You too, piemistress? See...we can't all be mad, can we?

Loupee · 25/11/2012 13:32

Haha, I consider myself sensible, everyone else thinks I am mad. We're not really getting him much for Christmas anyway.
Should start a thread or something along the lines of 'for the muppets who buy presents waaaaaayyyyyyy in advance'

PrattingAroundTheChristmasTree · 25/11/2012 14:04

Just bought something- the uDraw Tablet for xbox :)

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday · 25/11/2012 14:41

What is coconut water and do i need it?

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday · 25/11/2012 14:42

What is coconut water and do i need it?

HarlettOScara · 25/11/2012 14:46

It's the water from a coconut. Hope I didn't baboozle you with the science behind that explanation Grin

I'd say no, you don't need it.There's not even any boose in it or anything. It's marketed as a type of superfood (superdrink) I think and you can pick it up in any health food shop.

HarlettOScara · 25/11/2012 14:47

boose? WTF is boose? Booze, obviously.

WhispersOfWickedness · 25/11/2012 14:48

Bagpuss, I would have complained if I had prime too!
Indith - the one I got was 22.50 for two brick masters and 2 books which I was happy with Smile

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 25/11/2012 16:41

Bomb Cosmetics pack for DS's key worker at nursery and I'm done for the year. I'll be eating beans on toast for the rest of the year after this week!

PrattingAroundTheChristmasTree · 25/11/2012 16:46
