Between us DH and I have 8 god daughters. Six of them are approx age 7 and two approx age 4. So I need two good present ideas, one for each age. Any thoughts?? Not too expensive and preferably easy to post. Many thanks........

For the 4 years olds you could consider...

K'nex Kids (sets start from £9 inc delivery on Amazon)
Geomag (just under £11 with postage)
Meccano build & play sets or starter (Set 1) box (from under £10)

Or my personal favourite...

Rolobox kit for £5 inc delivery. Perfect starting point to customise all those Christmas boxes with!

Books from Red House or the Book People. I got my nieces who are 4 the treetop fairy pop-up fairy snowflake tree, which is sold out at Red House but is still available on Amazon. Fairy Tree It folds out to be a lovely Christmas tree with pop out decorations. I also got them some sticker books and a story each within our £10 budget.
Or how about the Lego brickmaster books - there is a pink girly Lego Friends one if you like that sort of thing... Lego Friends
Or crafty things from Yellow Moon Christmas stuff here I got my kids some lovely nativity wreaths to make, and there are loads of craft kits for all ages.

I have just ordered these for my 6/7 year old children-of-friends. There are some great ideas on that website - it came recommended on here Smile

How about this for the seven year olds?

Geomags are great - or these magnet balls (there are lots of different brands).

Or good books - and write in the front inside cover the date and a message in a fancy pen so it looks special.

For the 4 year olds any doll/baby seems to be a popular choice for the birthday presents of DD's friends, as well as Barbie, Disney princess (!) or hello kitty. Prices seem to vary but Argos are generally reasonable or if you have a TK Maxx near you with a toy section?
