My DH is hard to buy for (at the amount of money I have to spend anyway)

What are you gorging for yours?

I need inspiration as he is one of these guys who has everything and doesn't want anything inept ocular, but goes to great lengths to get me something nice

Look at the Fab website, loads of quirky stuff on there, at great prices. I have got DH a £24 mini USB camera so he pretend to be a spy Grin. Other than that, it's Cookie Monster socks, Starbucks mug, and a (cheap) book

MaureenMLove · 18/11/2012 22:31

DH is having a sink & a bath.

Although, to be fair, I'm having a new shower and tiles! DD is not so keen that she'll getting a bail of towels though! Grin

CoolaSchmoola · 18/11/2012 22:38

*Visualise - a friend was telling me yesterday that Primani are selling men's onesies in a variety of animals including giraffes, elephants, bats and monkeys. £12 apparently.

My DH is having a painting.

Christelle2207 · 18/11/2012 22:51

Mine has asked for tools or his toolbox so that's what he gets

Christelle2207 · 18/11/2012 22:51

For his toolbox!

Purple2012 · 18/11/2012 22:54

Rugby stuff for mine. I have got him a proper rugby kit top and a couple of rugby garden gnomes

BarredfromhavingStella · 18/11/2012 22:57

Me, in a big red bow Grin

MaureenMLove · 18/11/2012 22:59

It's a blessed relief to not have to search high and low for something for him tbh! And equally, me having to give him a list of what I want.

scentednappyhag · 18/11/2012 23:00

So far I've got him a book signed by his favourite author, but also want to get a cost jumper and a Billy Conelly DVD. That'll be it for Xmas, and we'll get a treat for us as a couple in January once we have money again Grin

scentednappyhag · 18/11/2012 23:01

Cosy* sodding autocorrect Blush

GreatGretzky · 18/11/2012 23:02

A watch and series one of Homeland on dvd

Whatevertheweather · 18/11/2012 23:04

Kindle Paperwhite, Game of Thrones t-shirt, electric pepper mill and absolute sandman hardcover volume 3 (if I can find it)

mrskeithrichards · 18/11/2012 23:05

I'm thinking about a sodastream but not sure how it'll go down because I know I'd go mental if he bought me a kitchen gadget!

But sodastreams are different aren't they?

He did buy me scales once but they are beautiful mechanical scales in enamel red which I kept mentioning. I love baking but would never have bought myself a set like that because I'm a cheapskate!

SirBoobAlot · 18/11/2012 23:07

An iPad if I win the lottery Grin

Otherwise it will be a book I have managed to convince him is out of print, a nice version of a board game he likes, a new belt, and some of his favorite chocolate.

Bollocks we've only been together just over a year, and we're already dull and practical Grin

nickelrocketgoBooooooom · 18/11/2012 23:15

dh has got a cardboard box with a plastic box inside it. it contains his tools. dd put a screw in her nappy Hmm
I'm therefore getting him a proper tool box for Christmas.

we're also buying a bread machine between us for us :)

ihavenonameonhere · 18/11/2012 23:17

I am in a new relationship (2 months in) so its always difficult to know how to spend, on top of that we are apart for 3 weeks as I go home to see my family the other side of the world.

So far I have got him a helicopter that you fly with his ipad, a keyboard for his ipad, a speaker for his ipad and a phone cleaner (see the theme ;) ) Will also pick up some smellys, a dvd, a book, a computer game and some choccys :)

Am very very intrigued to know what he will be getting me!

theoldtrout01876 · 18/11/2012 23:21

Beaverfeaver different watches

I bought 1 of these for Ds2 (19) and its beautiful and soo lightweight but looks chunky and substantial iykwim. Its beautifully made and very beautiful to look at

LivingThings · 18/11/2012 23:24

Nothing (as usual) We don't do gifts for each other (birthdays and anniversarys, Valentines etc included).

CuriousMama · 18/11/2012 23:27

We are supposed to be limiting to £20 each but I went over a bit. I ordered him a white waffle bath robe. We went away for a weekend recently and he loved the robes as his is fleece and he gets to hot in it. I'll get him a couple of little things and will no doubt end up spending nearer £50 in the end. He'll go over too though. Not that I'm bothered.

If it was possible and I had the money, I'd get him a kindle fire. He's been hinting how ace they look, though he already has a normal kindle from Christmas last year..or maybe it was the year before

Alas, we don't have the money so neither of us is getting anything. It'll be a miracle if we can get the DDs presents. I'm not too fussed about presents really, though it would be nice. As long as DDs are happy come Christmas day that'll be our present Smile

ErrorError · 19/11/2012 00:17

Well my ex-DP would have been getting something very expensive and useless at his request, so now I'm single again I decided to treat myself to a fancy gadget instead. Sorry, I know this isn't helpful at all, just massively chuffed that I'm saving a fortune this year! Grin

I'd recommend Firebox for cool things anyway, it's my personal heaven. Or truffleshuffle!
