Outdoor Christmas lights

How do you all decorate the outside of your house? I'm looking for new ideas. At the moment I have a wreath for my door but am thinking of buying a lit one. I've got a window box too but got nothing in it at the mo as my plants died have you got any ideas for that?

We put icicle lights along the edge of the porch roof and lights along a bit of trellis at the side of the house. My trees are not big enough yet, but in a few years I hope to out lights in them down the drive. I love the sound of your lighted wreath. Could you plant 3 little evergreen trees in your window box and put lights on them. Or you might even be able to but little pre lit artificial ones. I think I saw something like that in B&Q last year. They were only about a foot and a half high.

They Sound good maeve. Worried they'd grow to big though? Was thinking of artificial topiary balls but they are quite ££.
