My nephew has dyslexia and possibly dyspraxia. He loves cooking and we would like to build his confidence in this area. Can anyone recommend a very easy to follow recipe book? I don't necessarily want a kids cookery book as he is 11 and don't want to patronise him.

Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food might be good for him? My DD and StepS both have it.

I know you don't want a kids book, but it's worth having a look at the Sam Stern books - written by a teenager for teenagers. I bought it for an 11 year old last year old last Christmas and it went down well.

JO Ministry of Food or Cook with Jamie. Both are great for beginners and have stuff That you actually want to eat. I also like the HFW Family Cookbook as for the same reason. As well as recipes they talk about equipment, ingredients, cuts of meat etc.
