Linkie??

"Same as last year, ma'am?" Grin

Grin Our German teacher at school (in UK) made us watch it as "a cultural insight into the German psyche". Cue lots of very unimpressed 17 year olds!

I have found a cheap one here but is the website a legit/well-known one please?

These are the German ones but those in my budget are in the Marketplace. Is it the same as in the UK, e.g. 99% positive = a good bet to buy from?

Right. The first link is to the German equivalent of the BBC, so certainly trustworthy. I might just get a copy too - I remember laughing to the point of asphyxia to this as a child.
Usually on New Year's Eve, as I remember?

Amazon.de works in just the same way as the British version with the same kind of guarantees etc. Just watch, some of the vendors seem to only quote for 'Inlandversand' ie p+p for within Germany.

Go for the ARD one - it'll be fine.

Isn't it strange how it was a British production but never took off here and is absolutely iconic in Germany? Where, of course, people have no sense of humour Grin!

Enjoy.

Oh that's great, thank you so much! :) I love it but I do find it so weird that no one has heard of it here. I think, or maybe it's just me and DP, that Brits have a lot more in common humour-wise with the Germans than we do with many other Europeans.

Thanks for the tip about New Years Eve as I thought it was a Christmas Day thing so I'll put it in his 25th present rather than the 24th (bonus of having a semi-German Christmas = presents a day early!).

Yes - I had never heard of this until my first new year with the in laws when they were all tripping over themselves to describe it in minute detail. I've still managed to avoid seeing it though!

Definitely a New Years Eve thing!
