Christmas Dinner!

This year, because half of DH's family go to Ireland for Christmas, we are having a 'Faux Christmas' day a few days before... And as I have a toddler and the most space, we're (meaning me!!) hosting it...

How can I make it fab??

I don't want dinner to just feel like a regular roast dinner, I want to do special Christmassy things!

(And will hopefully be announcing my pregnancy at the dinner too so want it to go perfectly!!)

Hints? Tips? Help? :)

You could do 'fill your own' crackers with a tiny gift in each, or just a tiny gift at each place setting, beautifully wrapped. Thorntons do tiny truffles individually, shaped like Christmas puds or Yule logs, and they do novelty chocolate things for kids.

Do festive favourites at dinner and decorate the table. Serve champagne for after you've announced your pregnancy, and non alcoholic fizzy grape juice for you. Congatulations!
