gregssausageroll · 25/10/2012 16:13

Got thorntons. Thank you. That has easily sorted work and aunties!

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 25/10/2012 16:20

Did you see you can mix and match the Thorntons lots of choice

AWimbaWay · 25/10/2012 16:22

This box of lego quite a good deal £20, seems to be £35 most places plus very regularly send out codes, I just got a code (sadly not transferable) for £20 off a £50 spend so bought £50 worth of lego, half price duplo and moshi monsters for £30 without taking into account they were a good deal anyway.

reastie · 25/10/2012 16:25

Damn you MNers - this thread is too popular for it's own good - can't get my thorntons order through the checkout - site keeps going down! Grin

Body shop - clearance section, shower gels £5, code 343SHOWER - save £12, £1 each!!! And free delivery over £20.

ShoopShoop · 25/10/2012 16:41

Ok - I caved and ordered some L'Occitane stuff. Hand cream trio (£20), Rose hand and lip duo (£16) - because I spent over £35 I could add the Winter Collection for £14 rather than £28 and then I added the AQU17 code for the free Pivoine Flora Trio (worth £23.50). Free delivery for spending over £40. So I got £91.45 (incl delivery) worth of stuff for £50. That's all my female gifts sorted now....very happy Grin

Thanks so much Thanks

sweetkitty · 25/10/2012 16:48

Theangelshavetheood - I got an email and a thing through the post, they have a night at one of the bigger stores near you where if you spend over £75 you get £12 of advantage card points. Mine is the 1st Nov BUT it also states if you order on the 31st Oct of 1st Nov you can get £12 too Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 25/10/2012 16:50

The Body Shop have 20% cashback on Quidco and it works with most of the voucher codes too

craftymadam · 25/10/2012 16:55

Thanks so much for all of these bargains Smile
I've almost finished my Christmas shopping now!

Can anyone recommend a Fire engine toy for my 2.5yr old DS? I'm thinking one with a ladder/hose/doors that open etc? I've been looking at the Fast Lane Fire Engine on the Toys R us website, but would prefer a recommendation... Smile

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 25/10/2012 16:58

sweetkitty I knew about the store thing but need to order onlineso that will be useful

iseenodust · 25/10/2012 17:05

Tesco has a five pack of the first five Famous Five books with new covers (book one is Quentin Blake) for £5. That's a lot of 5's. Grin

nickeldaisical · 25/10/2012 17:09

that lego is out of stock on very - is it likely to come back in before christmas?

OhTheConfusion · 25/10/2012 17:21

Just popped into Sainsburys on the way home and all the toys that were in yesterdays sale had gone... but were replaced with different much better things!!! Grin

I got 4 huge nerf guns and 2 smaller ones for £46 and a selection of wooden toys for DD2 for under £5.

Perhaps worth another look if your passing.

MistressIggi · 25/10/2012 17:27

craftymadam I have the engine you linked to (or one almost identical). Ds still plays with it sometimes at 5. The best bit (from his perspective) is that you fill a bit with water and can then squirt it from the hose at your toys/mother!

Heavywheezing · 25/10/2012 17:37

Debenhams have half price toys, maybe a big sale tomorrow
These bugs are expensive elsewhere £6.50

Code sd1 gives free delivery I think

gregssausageroll · 25/10/2012 18:09

Anyone know where I can get good deals on games like buckaroo?

scrappydappydoo · 25/10/2012 18:14

Thanks for the ideas - keep em coming.
I've just seen something my dd would love in the woolies 1/2 price sale but when I try and create an account it seems it won't let me unless I open a credit account. I don't want to do this - just pay by credit card or paypal. Is there another way round it?

AWimbaWay · 25/10/2012 18:17

I think it'll still let you pay by credit/debit card scrappydappydoo, I've never shopped at woolies but several online sites make you open an account to register but you don't have to use it, you just pay immediately then get a statement saying your balance is £0.

drummerswife · 25/10/2012 18:21

charlottehere
which shower gels did you buy from the body shop
can't seem to get code to work
thanks

scrappydappydoo · 25/10/2012 18:26

So they don't do a credit check when you click to register?

JugglingWithPossibilities · 25/10/2012 18:35

What a heart warming thread to come across - some of you seem very organised though, compared to me Smile

Inspiration so far is to pop along to The Works and see what they have to offer ..
Then last week's webchat with Lauren Child made me think of getting DD a Ruby Redfort book, and might get her the Learn to Bake book from the BakeOff series. I guess I could get some baking gear too ?
