What age for 4 wheel rollerskates?

What age do you think would your child be able to rollerskates from? They have them in dd size but unsure if ability?

Oops meant to write wondered if able to skate at 4!

Both kids got some last year and loved them. My 4 (now 5) year-old took time to be even slightly in control and always has someone to hold her hand and steady her. Now she's just over 5 and can do a few 'steps' alone but always with some in attendance. DD2 was 7 at the time and got herself independent a bit more speedily :-) can can rollerskate on her own now. This is based on 'getting out' with the skates about once a week or less.

Toddler skates with these and has been since about 2.8. He's getting a pair of his own for his birthday next week (but he's getting them from his American grandparents so he has to wait two more weeks to get them). He loves skating.
