I got given an amazon voucher recently and thought I would use it as an early Christmas present for myself and get a boxset. Any suggestions? I have in the past few years enjoyed:

The wire
West wing
Sopranos
The L word
Gossip Girl
Sex and the City
The Trip
Episodes

Am enjoying Homeland on tv

An dithering whether I'd enjoy Downton Abbey

Oh congratulations Wildpoppy Smile!

Then, my advise is to avoid Bodies!

I loved most of the shows you listed (the wire is my fav), have you watched The Killing? (the Danish original version).

poozlepants · 13/10/2012 21:19

Don't bother with Downton Abbey - there must be loads of copies on ebay now as it is utter drivel.
Boardwalk Empire
Mad Men
Deadwood- my alltime favourite Tv show ever

wildpoppy · 13/10/2012 21:45

Thank you Grin thought this set could see me through the last trimester.

I've got The Killing lent by friends but I read who did it in the paper so not sure any point now.
