Where do you hide the presents?

In need of some inspiration! 3 year old ds recently found his main birthday present so is obviously reaching the age where I need to up my game and remember my wardrobe does not have powers of invisibility. Our attic is off limits due to renovations and until they are finished I don't have too much storage so wondering what your ingenuous methods of concealment might be? Especially the bulky stuff...

At work

Thankfully all presents i have bought get left in the boring brown box (re- sealed) under our bed. Failing a box a suitcase under the bed. God knows what i would do if i bought anything too big! (I live in a 2 bed ground floor flat!)

Suitcase is a great idea! My father has a spare bedroom I could nab but he smokes quite heavily indoors and I'm also likely to forget what I'vs bought if it isn't within immediate reach..

In the airing cupboard. Although i do have to remember not to fling any chocolate presents in there

DH and I usually drive round all December with carboots full of toys! Santa needs a lockup in every road.

Drawers under my bed. Have platform valance so drawers are not visible. DS is 15 and he still doesn't know they exist!

Larger stuff in a black bag in the cupboard under the stairs or the shed with all the other black bags

Suitcases & then the case just gets brought downstairs & hidden in the garage on Christmas eve so we don't disturb the kids trying to carry presents downstairs in a drunken stupor

I hide mine in a massive cardboard box in the garage. I use a thick black marker pen to draw a spider on the box and write 'do not open - big spider inside'!!!!! Works every year!! ;-)

Stop revealing your hiding places! This could be a teen on the hunt for their pressie!

Used to be in the top of the built in ward robe but its just been ripped out. Currently in the side loft of our bedroom.

Little stuff in sealed cardboard cartons, big stuff this year is going into a friend's mobile home moving house at Christmastime is very complicated

Presents are stuffed into my wardrobe - have to remember not to open it when dds are in the room. They are also in some suitcases, am running out of space now!

In our new house it's easy. We have the garage which is off limits and is dark and "scary" so our 5 year old doesn't go in there alone.

In our old house with no garage, they were either under the stairs, on top of the kitchen cabinets wrapped in binliners and in the drawers in our bed under bedding/towels.

We have a downstairs loo (do you remember the episode of Malcolm in the Middle when they found theirs, well mine is just like that) that the DCs don't know about, 10 years and they've never wondered what's behind the door in the utility room, so I stash all the presents in there.

Usually at parents / in laws until Xmas eve.

We are lucky to have a high shelf on our wall to wall built in wardrobe (one of those slidey door ones) so pressies just get bunged up there. We don't wrap until late as they get tatty. Really Useful Boxes are good for keeping them safe (and could keep smokey smell out at your dad's?)

LOVE the spider idea that is genius.

We have 'Mum's secret cupboard of mystery', above my bed and they are not allowed to look in there and strangely enough, even though we all refer to it by that name, they don't DS1 found one of the stocking presents last year and threw a wobbly, as now he knew it wouldn't be the same (he's 10 and knows it is me who buys).

I have a big cupboard over the stairs that they can't reach the handle of for biggish stuff and a brick shed outside so am well sorted.

We bought adult size bikes for our two and neighbours kindly kept them for us in their garage. Ideal for big things.
