So to speak Wink We have a Christmas works do which consists of me, dh, mil and fil. Last year they booked dog racing with a meal, our turn this year but struggling to think of something out of the ordinary, don't want to just go for a meal.....any ideas? We live in Leicester if this helps. Dh gave my idea of murder mystery steam train with meal Sad

Go-karting?
Laser Quest?

How active are they?

BobblyOrangeGoldGussets · 24/09/2012 10:28

Sorry "Clay Pgeon shooting". My BIL and SIL did it for another couple in similar circumstances (they always planned exciting things and they wanted to match them) to you.

If you do do it, please let me know: I fancy giving it a try. I feel I would be a really good shot...

SquishyCinnamonSwirls · 24/09/2012 10:30

Clay pigeon shooting is fun, that's a great suggestion.
What about the theatre?

Booboobedoo · 24/09/2012 10:31

How about a Ghost Walk then a meal? People run them all over the country, and I LOVE them!

BobblyOrangeGoldGussets · 24/09/2012 10:34

Flip, I need to learn to type out "Clay Pigeon" properly, before I am allowed out to try it.

whatsleep · 24/09/2012 12:53

Yes Bobble write it out 100 times or you will be grounded! Lots if great ideas, they are pretty difficult to please so I would prob get the choice wrong if I got theatre tickets....I am going away to research clay pijin pidgeoun pigeon shooting, I'll let you know how I get on Bobble!

What about a hawk walk?

DawnOfTheDee · 24/09/2012 16:10

How about a Zombie Survival Experience? LINK

FireOverBabylon · 24/09/2012 16:13

Are Leicester race course having a christmas meal event, or the speedway track clutches at straw

whatsleep · 24/09/2012 16:45

Dawn that looks AMAZING dh would wet himself with excitement but think mil might just wet herself from the shock....maybe a good present for dh and me!

Comedy club?

whatsleep · 24/09/2012 16:59

Looked at local comedy club but the meals are really basic, chicken in a basket type food....wanted something a bit nicer. Shows are always from 7-9 so no good or a restaurant before or after mil would be unhappy if expected to eat after 9!

With comedy clubs you can usually do the option of not having a meal so you could go somewhere a bit nicer first, maybe where they do good cocktails or something.

Re: the zombie experience....I guess it depends on how much you like your inlaws

I soooo want to go. Am going to ask for it as a birthday or christmas present Grin

DawnOfTheDee · 24/09/2012 17:18

Sorry just read the bit about shows being from 7. At the glee club they used to do a later show (at 10ish i think)

whatsleep · 24/09/2012 17:19

Fil would like speed way, can't find any I do on Christmas meal event just yet though. And again Dh and I would love ghost walk but not the in laws....beginning to think Dh and I should dump the in laws and do all the above mentioned activities on our own!
