12yo DD and 5yo DS?

There's no way we would spend the money to buy one each - even as a shared present it's above usual budget. I do think they'd both like it and obviously DD stays up later than DS so she would have some times that she could have it to herself...

When the apps get deleted they stay on your account so you can easily pop them back on again.

If you can stretch to it, i would buy them one each. Basically you register them both with the same email ID, so any apps downloaded to the one whatever the price, are available free on any other apple device.

Or an ipad for the 12 YO and an ipod touch for the 5 YO for now to see how they get on..

Gah... that should say any other apple device registered with the same apple ID .. this also goes for apps, music and films.

Also if anyone is reading, the apple warranty doesn't stay with the first owner so if you buy second hand there is a possibility of it still being under warranty
