Decent stocking fillers I can get online?

Any suggestions? Being 7 months pregnant I'm trying to avoid wandering around the shops and the stockings seem to take me ages, so it would be good to start early before little one arrives!!

I seemed to end up filling them up with tat last year which was fine, but keen not to add to the tat we seem to have accumulating in the house so practical but good ideas needed... I'm struggling... Blaming my pregnancy brain!!! :)

DD1 is 3.5 and DD2 is 1.5.

Last year Hawkins Bazaar did a stocking stuffed full of stuff for different age groups, I can't seem to find them on the website yet though!
Though by December you'll have a squidgy lovely little baby, won't you? A nice wander around the shops for stocking fillers may be lovely then, so don't despair if you can't find everything online just yet :).

DVDs and books? That way it isn't more junk that ends up in the bin after a few weeks cuddly toys and character underwear.

After last Christmas I made a note (literally) that it was to be practical things oly in the stocking - sweets, pants, socks, bubble bath etc

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. It's what I tended to have when I was a kid and still loved it. Money was always a bit tight so tended to be stuff my parents would have to buy anyway, smellies, toothbrush, pens, socks etc etc. DP laughs at my practical presents, but at the same time hates it when I buy more tat!!!

My dad (sorry I mean Santa!) always put a pound in but in pennies. Added a nice weight.

And there was always an orange

Last year ds said his favourite present was the orange and he ate it for breakfast and reminisced about it for day's!!

I stick to 80% practical, maybe one toy/ crap and then some choc/ sweets

I think adding traditional orange/ nuts is a great idea as otherwise they just get more expensive and competive as they get older

I'm buying bits for my DC (10 and nearly 13) when I see them.
I bought a tin of sketching pencils (ranging from 2h to 2B) from Tesco.

DS needed a "B pencil for Art so I gave him the tin.
He was to get them for school, but singularly un-impressed at them being in his stocking.

Hairclips, playdoh, stickers, I love the idea of an orange (must remember to do it this year).

We also used to get a handful if nuts which were returned to the nut bowl pretty sharpish! Obviously we were at an age when we knew Santa was just my parents otherwise it would have given it away!

I tend to look in the sale racks - I got these hideous mini glittery handbags for the girls in Clarks down to £1.50 which will be the main present in the stocking surrounded by practical stuff

Someone a while back mentioned an online shop with yellow in it. I can't remember it all though which is frustrating as I intended on buying a fair amount for stockings. If anyone know remotely what I am talking about then please post.

I love Baker Ross It's really good for crafty stuff and their Christmas stuff is online now. Great for stickers.

We are passing the Baker Ross catelogue around at playgroup so that we can do a bulk order and save on postage which is free over 50 pounds because no one needs 50 pounds worth of craft in one go hides all hobbycraft receipts and denies there is a problem

I'm going to make breakfast biscuits in the shape of Christmas trees, wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon. A sizeable stocking gift and something for them to munch on (along with the chocolate coins and satsuma) whilst me and DH pretend to be sleep :)

Really like the stuff on woolgar toys... Has anyone ordered from them before? The wooden toys look lovely.
