Small budget this year. Need to buy for cousins children boy of 8 and girl of 6. £5 each for them. Really not sure what to get. Do you think I'd manage a top from primark and a selection box?

WW - is your Tesco a Tesco Extra? I couldn't see any deals there but our local is a Superstore and had some bargain Lego.

yes it is - must be a regional thing.

We don't go that far through the family for presents, but I would be tempted to just put the money in a card for them - most kids get too much plastic tat anyhow, and they can put it with any other money to buy something bigger.

I personally dont buy toys I think they have so many and have want they really want off their parents. I prefer people buy socks, t-shirt, book, calender, torch, DVDs.

Posted this on another thread already this week but it's in budget and prefect for an 8 year old

Someone gave my girls wind-up torches and selection boxes last year. They went down very well.
