Bought most of the little bits already, just have the big presents to buy, though Ds2 won't be getting much.

lambriniplease · 02/09/2012 11:07

have bought a handbag from BHS £16 for my Auntie - that's about it.

I need ideas for presents more than anything else.

EdithWeston · 02/09/2012 11:07

Did you know there's a whole forum for Christmas? Quite a lot of threads for this year have started there already.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 02/09/2012 11:08

Please, please, for the love of baubles, shove these threads inthe Christmas topic.

Sone of us have hidden it.

I?ve usually started thinking about it by now but we have a big move coming up so trying to ignore it until that's over.

Then got to work out how I?m going to get everyone's presents half way across the world.

So in answer to your question No, and it?s making me anxious.

PureMorning · 02/09/2012 11:09

I've finished shopping for the kids and dh...Might of got some decorations too

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 02/09/2012 11:10

Yes.

Have started buying, actually quite enjoying it!

I don't buy for many people though. Just DP, DS, my parents and DP's mum and sister.

I make a list of what to buy everyone and just wade through it!

I also enjoy wrapping!

WaftyCrank · 02/09/2012 11:11

I've already started buying however DC4 is due 14th November and there is no way I'm fighting my way round the shops at Christmas with a newborn.

TalHotBrunette · 02/09/2012 11:13

I've bought quite a lot of the dc's stuff already, I started a month or so ago. Grin

I've managed to finish stockings and have just odd ends for dc1 and a few more substantial bits for dc2 to buy.

In my defence I have an expensive few months coming up so it's just being organised really. I'm on part time wages now so not going mad on other members of the family this year, just DH, the dc and token gifts for other members of the family really.

prettypleasewithsugarontop · 02/09/2012 11:14

Thanks Edith I hadn't realised, new to this Mumsnet thing Blush

I have 2 DD to buy for, DH, and various immediate family members

I keep the main run up to Christmas confined to Advent, but I always think of September (and Burghley Horse Trials in particular) as the start of the Christmas shopping season, and am on the look out for interesting stocking fillers and some presents.

I'm still utterly clueless about what I'll be getting DH or the DCs as main presents though.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/09/2012 12:56

I'll be pootering off to Costco this week to look at their Christmas things (and to buy Appletise and J2O of course)

They have beautiful glass baubles- I buy a few new ones every year to keep up our Traditions (and because they don't all survive the season) Blush Butterfingers.
