Do your DC's believe?

My DS (just turned 10) announced yesterday 'Fred at school was telling us what he asked his mum and dad for christmas because there is no santa' (why oh why in Aug) but don't worry mum, I told him 'there definately is, I believe in santa'.

Help!

ds1- 13 no he doesnt but he helps me keep the magic for the younger ones.
ds2- 11 i dont know, i think he does but this will be the last year. he wants to believe.
dd's 1 and 2- 7 and 6, yes totally.

DD (9) - I don't think so but she's not admitting to it. I would like to get it out in the open with her actually as it's beginning to feel like a lie rather than a magical story.

DS (7) - He has serious doubts but buys in for the stocking

DS (4) - He believes with a passion

When DS2 lost his first tooth aged 6 he told me, 'I know there's no tooth fairy so if you just give me the money it saves you having to sneak around at night time.' Made me I've never enjoyed the tooth fairy gig.

That's how I feel Bard but dreading having to have the talk :(

I would have the talk, otherwise you're setting them up to feel like a bit of a fool trying to persuade other year 6s that FC really exists.

I have never done the talk and won't. I think if they have their suspicions they won't go declaring his existance to everyone. my dc are 12 and 10 and haven't given me any reason to think they don't believe. I am sure ds1 will definitely realise this year but I hoping he will just keep quiet about it.

Ds is only 6 and believes. He sussed for himself that the guys in shops aren't real but he still thinks the big guy himself is real.
