Camera for 7 year old?

Dd1 has said she'd like a digital camera for Christmas, she'll be 7. Can anyone recommend one which is not too expensive as I want her to be able to take it on trips etc without worrying too much. Thanks

I bought a cheap one for my 7yr old this Summer.

I got a Vivitar X035 10MP - It was about £30.00. So if he does break it/lose it I will not wail and fume about it.

He's found it easy to use after a few photos of his thumb over the lens.

The photos are not high quality but fine to stick in the photo album, with pride.

I wish there was more protection over the lens but for the price it's worth it.

My ds2 who's 8 has a fuji finepix. Iirc it was £40ish. He's taken some great photos with it and fwiw we got him a couple of 2mb flash drives to store his photos on when he uploads them to computer, so they're His
